Dalkey School Project National School (DSPNS) is Ireland’s first Educate Together primary school. Founded by a group of parents who wished to have their children educated in a multi-denominational school, it opened in September 1978 in Dun Laoghaire. Since 1985 the school is located in Glenageary, Co. Dublin and has now grown to over 200 pupils and 13 teachers. There are now 92 Educate Together primary schools and 17 Educate Together secondary schools in the country.

DSPNS is governed under the umbrella of the constitution of Educate Together organisation who are also members of the Children’s Rights Alliance.
In 2019, parents and the wider school community launched ‘Meet the Kids Behind the Cuts’ campaign. The campaign seeks to highlight the ongoing challenges for children within the additional needs model.

The Meet the Kids Behind the Cuts campaign is calling on the Government to provide one Special Needs Assistant (SNA) per classroom and a fair and transparent support system for children with additional needs.
