Summary: The Alliance welcomes the opportunity to submit its views to the Department of Finance in relation to the development of Budget 2010.   The Alliance recognises that the Department faces extremely difficult choices this year.  We urge that the impact on children be considered in relation to all budgetary measures.   This submission outlines what we believe the Government must do now if it is to protect children from further cuts.  To allow for some discussion of the points raised, we have decided to limit our input to three priority areas.    We have limited our input to the following: The Child Benefit payment; The education cuts and their impact on children; The recommendations of the Ryan Report.
