I am delighted to inform you that the Children’s Rights Alliance has won a Good Governance Award 2017 (Category 2, income between €250,000 and €1 million).

As the new year is upon us, we are delighted to announce three new staff roles to join the Children's Rights Alliance's dynamic team.

1. Access to Justice Manager

The Children’s Rights Alliance has established an exciting new Access to Justice Initiative as part of its Strategic Plan 2017-2012.

The Children’s Rights Alliance unites over 100 members working together to make Ireland one of the best places in the world to be a child.

We change the lives of all children by making sure that their rights are respected and protected in our laws, policies and services. We identify problems for children. We develop solutions. We educate and provide information on children’s rights. We unite our members and put pressure on Government to put children first.

We are currently recruiting for the role of Communications and Membership Officer.

Government Announcement on Reception Directive is Positive for Children

The Children’s Rights Alliance has welcomed the Government’s announcement that it will opt-in to the EU (recast) Reception Conditions Directive (2013/33/EU) allowing asylum seekers to seek employment under certain conditions. Notably the Directive also contains a dedicated section on children.
