What personal information do we collect?
Personal information is information that can be used to identify you. It can include your name, date of birth, email address, postal address, telephone number, fax number and credit/debit card details.
We collect personal information when you ask about our activities, order products and services (such as publications and email newsletters), or when you give us personal information.
How do we use your information?
We use your personal information to give you the information or products you ask for. We can also use your information for administrative purposes, to let you know about changes. The Alliance takes its responsiblities seriously when collecting your personal information. Any information we collect is stored and processed in Ireland. Your personal information is not shared with third parties and any other information you volunteer will not be made available to a third party unless this is expressly declared (for example an online petition).
Accessing and updating your personal information held by the Alliance

Technical Information
Technical details in connection with visits to our web site are logged by our hosting company. This information may be used for statistical purposes by the Alliance and may include such details as the IP address of the visitor’s web site, the web address from which the visitor contacted our web site, visitor traffic (for example, the frequency at which particular web pages are accessed), and the type of web browser used by the visitor. None of this information can be used by us to establish the identity of visitors to our web site. This information does not constitute ‘personal information’ under the Data Protection Acts 1998 and 2003.
The Alliance will make no attempt to link this technical information to individual visitors. In addition, none of this information will be made available to a third party, apart from our hosting company (which is bound by confidentiality provisions). Such technical information is encrypted and password protected and is not available to visitors to our web site.

The web site contains links to other sites that are completely unrelated to the Alliance. This privacy statement does not apply to these sites nor is the Alliance responsible for their content and practices.
