The Law Centre for Children and Young People is an innovative independent human rights NGO devoted to improving access to justice for children and young people, especially those experiencing disadvantage and social exclusion. it aims to advance children's rights in Ireland through enhanced use of the law and reform of the legal system.
It pursues this aim by:
(i) providing specialist legal information to children and young people about their rights
(ii) strengthening the capacity of legal representation in children's cases
(iii) pursuing strategic case to advance children's rights in Ireland
(iv) Undertaking research to inform evidence based best practice policy making and law reform.
